When I was 15 years old, I landed my first job stocking Juicy sweatsuits at a very intimidating, upscale boutique. With my humble beginning selling overpriced terrycloth to tweens, I spent my high school years working in retail, at a gym, and writing for a local newspaper.

In college, my jobs included a mind-numbing work study job answering phones and a rewarding internship at Planned Parenthood.

With a passion for writing and editing, I applied to work as a writing tutor at my college's writing center. For four years, I helped students outline, write, and re-write essays in subjects ranging from economics to biology. I edited theses in history, environmental studies, and religion. 

Since graduating college, I've written articles for TIME, Talking Points Memo, The Nation, and more. I've spoken publicly on behalf of women's rights and as an officiant for my best friend's wedding. I worked as a Communications Associate for an international family planning non-profit and I planned events for a major media outlet.

In addition to my current work with MLH Writing, I coordinate weddings. I spend my 9- 5 working in events for one of the most beloved public spaces in the world.
